Employment - Nursing PositionsFamily Nurse Practitioner - The nurse practitioner provides medical services to patients across life spans in collaboration with and under the supervision of an MD, within the license of the State of California for Nurse Practitioners. This includes the delivery of primary health care to infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Must possess a valid California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license and BLS & ACLS certification. ICU RN-The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire. Must demonstrate competency in EKG/Rhythm strip interpretation. Previous Critical Care experience preferred. CCRN preferred. ICU Charge Nurse (Night Shift) – The charge nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. Responsible for the development of the patient’s plan of care, including preparation for the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. The charge nurse is responsible for providing oversight and facilitating the flow of patient care activities, as well as providing leadership for the nursing team and collaborating with other departments. Responsible for the coordination of department activities for a given shift. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire. Must demonstrate competency in EKG/Rhythm strip interpretation. Previous Critical Care experience preferred. CCRN preferred. House Supervisor - Is responsible for the coordination of bed control functions and facilitating inter-facility transfers, when necessary. Responsible for the interpretation of clinical and administrative standards and to oversee the provision of patient care and hospital operations to ensure patient care and hospital operations are consistent with the approved standards of the organization. Serves as an administrative and clinical resource. Serves as a liaison for the staff to communicate organization standards to the medical staff, patients, families, external healthcare and community agencies. The Home Health RN - The Home Health RN has basic public health nursing knowledge and maintains standards of care for the Home Health Service within the framework of the philosophy and objectives of the Home Health Service Department. This is accomplished by planning, directing and evaluating nursing activities during his/her scheduled hours. Under supervision, he/she provides a wide range of public health nursing services including health assessment, teaching, treatment and counseling in homes. Home visits are made for specific purposes in the homes of patients whose physician request services according to a Plan of Treatment. The Home Health RN is directly responsible for the nursing care administered to patients assigned to his/her care, managing assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines. This position demands emotional stability conducive to dealing with a high stress level for 8-10 hours at a time associated with fast paced responsibilities, rapidly changing priorities, creative problem solving, emotional demands of patients and their families. Med/Surg Manager - A professional RN who is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of patient care across life spans. Provides for the recruitment, professional development and evaluation of nursing personnel. Assumes financial responsibility for the department, monitors compliance to the annual operating budget and develops and implements plans to address variances in performance. Ensures an ongoing system for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided and ensures nursing care is consistent with approved standards of care and practice. Med/Surg RN - Is responsible for the continual assessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. RN is responsible for the development of patient's plan of care to include preparation for the patient's discharge and required patient/family education. Also responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Must possess a current CA license, BLS and meets all specific department requirements. Previous acute care experience preferred. Emergency Room RN - The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Previous Emergency Room experience preferred. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire. Endoscopy RN - The Registered Nurse is responsible for the continual assessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. RN is responsible for the development of patient's plan of care to include preparation for the patient's discharge and required patient/family education. Also responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Must possess a current CA license, BLS and meets all specific department requirements. Previous acute care experience preferred. Must demonstrate competency in EKG/Rhythm strip interpretation. May be required to accept "on-call" assignments. Previous experience in surgery and/or GI Lab preferred. Six (6) months previous experience in acute care nursing required.
